Once you have gotten your required average and scores in all four subtests, once your teachers at your review center give you the go-signal, and you feel you are quite ready to take the TOEFL iBT, it is time to register. There are several ways to do it. The easiest is to ask your TOEFL review center for assistance. If they have not got that service, you can do either of the following:
You can register online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Spell your name exactly as it is in the identification card that you will bring. For paying the test fee, you can use a credit/debit card: American Express®, Discover®, JCB®, MasterCard® or VISA®. You can also use a PayPal® account. Remember to register seven days before your test date. You can register late, up to three days before your target test date, but it will cost you an extra $35.
Register By Phone
Make sure you have reviewed the registration form before you call. Same in registering online, make sure that when you spell your name, it matches the one in your ID exactly. If you are inside the United States, U.S. territories and Canada, call: 1-800-468-6335 or 1-443-751-4862. If not, check out the Regional Registration Center. You can pay using credit or debit cards like the ones stated above. Registration closes 7 days before your exam.
Register By Mail
Download a registration form from the ETS website and fill it out. Make sure that your name appears as it does in your ID. You can use any of the allowed payment methods listen in your registration form. All you need to do after these is to send your payment and form to your Regional Registration Center at least four weeks (a month) before your test date. You will receive confirmation of your registration soon afterwards.
For more details, check out the ETS website or, for things to be easier for you, ask your review center to process your papers instead. Good luck!
